چکیده
Coccidiosis is a critical disease in the poultry industry worldwide. Producers apply different strategies to control and prevent this disease. Herbal drugs are suitable remedies for reducing losses associated with coccidiosis poultry. The present study aimed evaluate effectiveness of an herbal mixture preventing coccidiosis. A total 160 broiler chickens were divided into four treatment groups, five replicates each. Experimental infection all except group D, was carried out mixed Eimeria species (E. tenella, E. necatrix, brunetti, maxima) on day 14. Broiler given (75% Quercus infectoria, 16% Artemisia annua, 9% Allium sativum) as feed additives during rearing period, B treated Monensin. No applied C after experimentally infected spp. Group D used negative since not or sick experiment. Body weight gain, conversion ratio (FCR), mortality rate, intestinal lesion scoring, oocyst count per gram (OPG) evaluated study. results revealed that highest mean body gained followed by A. best FCR attributed B. In study, both decreased scores, OPG chickens. conclusion, can reduce coccidial lesions. Keywords: Broiler, Coccidiosis, mixture, Prevention

Artemisia annua as a Traditional Herbal Antimalarial
A. annua is so named because it is almost the only member of the genus with an annual cycle. It is a shrub, often growing over 2 m high (Ferreira et al., 1997; see Figure 3.1 and Figure 3.2). Its leaves and flowers contain artemisinin, first isolated in China in 1971; this is the constituent with the greatest antimalarial activity (see Table 3.3). Artemisinin has been found in only two other sp...

Abstract: Coccidiosis is one of the major parasitic diseases of poultry. In this study, to compare the effects of coccidiostatic drugs on fecal oocyst shedding and body weight gain of coccidi-infected broiler chickens, 180 one day old Ross 308 broiler chicks were randomly assigned to four treatments. Each treatment contained 3 replicates of 15 chickens. Treatments 1 and 2 were fed diets supplem...

Background: Coccidiosis is the most common parasitic disease in poultry, ionophore antibiotics are preferred drugs for controlling this disease. However, prolonged use of ionophores will result in Eimeria deformation and resistance to these drugs. Aims: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of probiotic and prebiotic, that is used to boost d...
